Record website stats
We’re incredibly pleased to say that Visit Cheltenham has hit a new website record! The website has gone from strength to strength over the last year but this summer we’ve seen a huge increase in visitors looking to the Visit Cheltenham site for the most up to date information on food and drink, things to do and accommodation. The Eat Out to Help Out page has been hugely popular with the page ranking at the top spot on Google for searches such as eat out to help out Cheltenham and Cheltenham Eat Out. We had almost 33k visitors to the Eat Out to Help Out page throughout August and over 68k visitors over the last month to the Food and Drink section of the website. August also saw record page visits for accommodation, things to do and shopping. Our members all receive a listing on our website offering brilliant exposure to an ever-growing and active audience.
Latest COVID-19 guidelines
In the latest update from the government it will be mandatory for hospitality and leisure businesses to have a system in place to collect NHS Test and Trace data. They will also need to keep this information for 21 days. For more information on what this means for F&B, accommodation, leisure and performing arts please visit here.

If you’ve not received a form email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Escape the Everyday – Excites the nation
Visit England is launching a £5 million UK-wide domestic marketing campaign which will inspire consumers to take short breaks in the UK this autumn and winter. We’re feeding into this national campaign by working with Visit England but we need your help by supplying us with the content. The campaign is split into the following:
Discovery – this could be hidden gems, experiences like cookery classes, foraging or wildlife spotting.
Freedom to Explore – urban or rural walking and cycling routes, off-grid accommodation.
Treat Yourself – spa breaks, gourmet getaways, cosy pubs or unusual accommodation.
If you have anything that fits in with the above, please get in touch with us at: email@example.com. Help us to help you.
Meet in Cheltenham
We’re excited to tell you that the Meet in Cheltenham website will be live in October. The website is aimed at growing business tourism within Cheltenham, providing a free and professional venue finding service for businesses looking to bring their events to the town. In preparation for business events, we’re asking businesses to send their Covid secure measures for meetings and events which will be featured in the Meet in Cheltenham blogs. If you have any autumn conference offers or Christmas party/private dining information including the brochures please get in touch: firstname.lastname@example.org. These can also be added as events on the Visit Cheltenham website here.
We’re Moving to Cheltenham
We hope you saw our launch of our new We’re Moving to Cheltenham initiative, which will seek to highlight the scale of investment and business growth which is already underway across Cheltenham, the positive effect it’s having on attracting new business and the range of opportunities available to make the town an attractive destination for others to make the move to Cheltenham. This increase of investment has seen the planning of the Golden Valley Development and the creation of business hubs such as Honeybourne Place, Formal House and the Quadrangle. With the possible shift to shared work spaces and remote working since this year’s lockdown, this new initiative will put Cheltenham firmly on the map for further future business growth.
