LandLove Magazine

At the end of 2017, the team put together an awe-inspiring, whistle-stop tour of Cheltenham, ready for a visit from LandLove Magazine Journalist Kerry. Kerry arrived raring to go in mid-January 2018, ready to write an article all about Cheltenham, our heritage, the businesses we love and much more besides.

Following her visit, Kerry sent a personal thanks, saying “I just wanted to thank you for such a brilliantly organised, diverse and fascinating (if calorific!) trip. I am buzzing with material for the feature – and dreaming of the close encounter with the Blue Chilean Eagle on Walks With Hawks. Please thank Steve for introducing me to the beauty of the Cotswold Hills and his informed guiding – I shall be back! Meanwhile enjoy your beautiful and blessed town.”

The press trip included three jam-packed days, spent meeting more than 20 businesses, and visiting some of Cheltenham’s most iconic locations. Kerry stayed at The Bradley Hotel for the duration of her trip, and enjoyed guided tours of The Town, The Racecourse, Pittville Pump Rooms, Pittville Park, The Holst Museum, Ellenborough Park, a foodie tour, The Wilson Art Gallery, Battledown Brewery and Sibling Distillery, Crickley Hill and the views it offers, and a Walk with Hawks. Along the way, food was provided by Brew and Bake, Ellenborough Park and The Ox.

Huge thank you to all the members,  businesses and individuals who helped make Kerry’s trip so fantastic, including:

  • Steve Short from Compass Holidays / The Bicycle Hub
  • The Bradley Hotel
