A few highlights of our work in April and May…
Rebrand soft launch – The Festival Town
Over the past few months several members of the Tourism Partnership, led by Kelly Ballard have been working on a branding exercise to ensure Cheltenham stands apart from the competition. This brand will form the basis for how we promote the town over the next few years. Working with Cotswold’s based Little Big Agency, the group has agreed to a new brand and strapline The Festival Town. Read more about this here.
Engaging local bloggers to promote Cheltenham
Lisa has invited influential local bloggers who are passionate about Cheltenham to join a group where she will share press trip and review opportunities from members. The aim of this group is to encourage shareable content to be created i.e. blog articles/videos/social media posts etc. (If you are interested in offering review or press trip opportunities please contact Lisa).
Selling Cheltenham to the international travel trade
Emma attended Explore GB (alongside Cotswolds Tourism) in Harrogate to promote Cheltenham and the Cotswolds to 200 members of the travel trade and speak to journalists about press trips promoting our town.
May member meet up and large hotels meeting at the Queens Hotel
Kelly and Tara hosted the large hotels meeting followed by the quarterly members meeting at the Queens Hotel. The large hotels meeting gave an opportunity to share information around current challenges and to discuss ideas for a new business tourism digital platform for Marketing Cheltenham. The member meeting welcomed around 30 members to share news, updates, opportunities and discussions. For a copy of the presentation please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
Exhibition at Gloucestershire Business Show with Cheltenham BID
The team exhibited in collaboration with Cheltenham BID at the Gloucestershire Business Show at Cheltenham Town Hall for two days.
