Ellenborough Park is delighted to welcome Marwan Hemchaoui as their new General Manager following the departure of Oliver Williams earlier this year. Marwan joins Ellenborough from The Vineyard at Stockcross, near Newbury, and will oversee all aspects of the hotel, bringing with him over 25 years of industry experience.
After graduating from hotel school in Switzerland, Marwan began his career in London, where he went on to work at The Intercontinental, JW Marriott, Grosvenor House as well as The Dorchester, to name a few. Most recently, he held the position of General Manager at five star hotel and spa The Vineyard at Stockross since August 2013. Prior to this, he owned and ran restaurants in Newbury with his wife.
On his appointment, Marwan commented, “I’m delighted to be joining Ellenborough Park at such an exciting time, and so look forward to being part of the community in Cheltenham. The team here is wonderfully passionate, enthusiastic and full of exciting ideas, and I’m so pleased to be working alongside them and taking such historically-rich hotel to new heights.”
